Is anyone able to identify this mysterious Bug???

 

I found it flailing about on the kitchen floor last week.  It was stuck on it’s back and couldn’t turn over. I helped it up and put it outside and as it looked like nothing I’d seen before I took this quick snap of it.

 

I’ve searched the web for a match and the only one that looks like this was seen in Borneo, Indonesia but they didn’t know what it was either.

 

I’ve a sneaking suspicion it may have hitched a ride in my bag of Tesco Bananas!!!!

 

Breaking News!!!!!                                                         Sources confirm (My Dad) that this is a Green Shield Bug, indigenous to the UK. A predatory bug that sucks it’s prey’s insides out through it’s proboscis.  Yuck!!! Oh well, intrigue over!!
